During the summer term, Year 8 students select their subjects for Year 9, which include English, Mathematics, Sciences, and ICT. Additionally, PSHE, citizenship, and career guidance are offered through a system of group tutoring sessions.
Vocational Training at Appleford School
Appleford School provides all students with the opportunity to take a range of vocational courses, leading to qualifications equivalent to GCSEs by age 16. A Day in the Life at Appleford School
The school day at Appleford is structured to provide a balanced mix of academic, recreational, and personal time. The day begins at 7:00 am for boarders and ends at 4:35 pm, with various lessons, breaks, and meals in between. On Fridays, the school day concludes at 3:00 pm. Every Friday from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm, a celebratory assembly is held in the school’s sports hall, to which parents are invited.
